In the brewing year 2018/2019, the Swiss drank around 55 liters of beer per capita. There are hardly any changes to the previous year. However, according to the Swiss Brewery Association (SBV), barley juice from local areas is finding more and more fans.
The domestic output rose by 2.3 percent to 3,686,184 hectoliters; this corresponds to a market share of 77.8 percent (previous year: 76.7 percent). In contrast, beer imports show a decline of 3.5 percent.
Cheers!
