Bermuda
After completion of my mandatory military services in Switzerland, I decided to see the world as a chef. I had 3 different offers on the table for work abroad; the Kuwait Hilton, the Bogota Hilton, Colombia and one with Holiday Inn of St. Georges, Bermuda, I decided on Bermuda, a subtropical island 200 miles off the coast of New York. I was chef saucier at the Gourmet Supper Club of the hotel for 2 1/2 years and had a great time, learning the English language, spending a lot of time on beaches, and cruising around the island on my motorbike.
