I know, obviously,
my blogs are supposed be intended to provide informative tips, recipes, and sometimes funny stories, about food and travel. However, since traveling came to halt due to Covid-19, there isn’t or wasn’t too much to write about, and now that we got just barely over the consequences of the virus, the isolation, the lockdowns, etc. we are in the midst of watching what is unfolding in the United States of America over the last few days.
I have been watching the news networks, and listening to all their guest speakers, from activists, lawyers, and black community leaders to politicians, everyone is talking about the racism still going on in the USA. Unfortunately, prejudice is not ever going away! It’s embedded in the human race, you can witness it all over the world through conflicts and war everywhere! Some erupt through religious discrimination, some through pure greed, and many of them through hate and racism.
The Israel-Palestinian conflict;
The history of the conflict is much more complex than to give a simple explanation here, but the religious and historical differences are very important to their story. On another level, the reasons for the continual fighting are easy to understand. They have been fighting for over 60 years, and each war, each death, and each act of terrorism, only deepens the hatred and the reluctance to give in to the other side. There will never be peace in that part of the world, the hatred is too far embedded on both sides over the last few decades.
Racism in the United States has been going on for 400 years,
and will never go away, humans cannot help themselves, as long as there are people on this earth capable of killing, decapitating, torturing, acid attacking, raping, and bombing another human being and or nation, there will not ever be a prejudice-free society. We can not change the mindset of the human race, it’s too late for that, all we hope for is that restraint, respect, understanding, and love will prevail.
What the US population need
to concentrate on is what is happening throughout the country within their police districts; what is happening right now on the streets of the US, has, of course, a lot to do with racism, however, the core problem on hand as we speak right now is within the police departments, the police officers are human beings just like the rest of us, and there are some police officers that are prejudice, it’s human nature, remember! What needs to happen is to root out all the bad apples in all police districts all over the country, which could easily be implemented by using the proper tests, lie detectors, and whatever else physiologists, therapists, or whoever is capable of implementing such tests, may come up with.
What happened to George Floyd is an absolute disgrace, no matter what that man did before the cops arrested him, there was absolutely no reason, nor excuse for how these cops handled that situation. Therefore the laws have to be amended, changed to be able to prosecute policemen that do not follow the rules and regulations of an arrest, and it should be done within 72 hours. It doesn’t take four officers to manage one unarmed man.
The whole world witnessed how that man was murdered, what on earth takes so long, and what more do they need to bring these guys to justice!?
