THE REALITY CHECK

As we all have plenty of time to reflect, think, and reminisce about what is going on in the world right now, I decided to express my personal opinion, feelings, and observations about the present political, economic, and world situation we find ourselves in.

I like to make it quite clear that the purpose of this post is not meant to offend, upset, discriminate against anyone, or stir up conspiracy theories. It’s merely my own humble, at times, innocent and naive, personal views. I find it always interesting to interact with people online and get a variety of opinions, facts, and input on posted subjects, views, and opinions.

THE CORONAVIRUS PLAQUE

The Coronavirus issue plaguing the world was probably God’s message to the human race to slow down, stop killing each other, and realize that each and every one of us on this earth shall only get an 8 x 7-foot space when the time comes to meet our creator. Our lives became so complicated and materialistic that we forgot to enjoy and absorb the beauty of this beautiful planet, especially our own, immediate surroundings.

Wheater this outbreak was caused with the purpose to control the population growth by China, or unintentionally evolving through the bad, inconsiderate, inhuman, and uncivilized behavior of the consumption habits in that part of the world remains to be discussed and proven when things have settled down. Who else on earth would think of eating bats, dogs, mice, and rats?!

HANSEL AND GRETEL EFFECT

I even mentioned in a post the possibility of the Chinese President carrying this virus with him during his European trip and leaving traces behind in Italy and France where he visited in March 2019! Of course, that is far-fetched since that would affect and hurt their own economy far more than any other Nation since most of the manufacturing is produced in China in the first place. Yet in situations like this, we tend to think of all kinds of possible clues, causes, and conspiracies.

GLOBAL PROBLEMS

As some of you may have had the opportunity to read an earlier blog of mine that I posted in December 2018, with the title Today’s world through my eyes! in which I mentioned the global impact of problems mainly caused by governments themselves, for either being corrupt, greedy, oppressing the population, hoarding and misusing the subsidizing funds provided to them by wealthier nations, or the lack of Infrastructure and manufacturing industries causing the lack of employment. That problem is present in Latin American nations, and that is why population exoduses occur in those places. That is also the problem in the Middle East; what do those nations contribute to the civilized world? No manufacturing industry of any kind, that I am aware of, except Dates, which I love, great scholars, and of course, from Saudi Arabia the oil, which was a God-given present to them! The things those countries are contributing to the rest of the world, and to themselves, are war, misery, poverty, and displacement. Why? Because there is no vision for a bright, successful future for most of those people!

CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE WORLD

Other nations contribute to the civilized world such as Germany with cars, energy & electronics, France with energy, French food, & agriculture, Spain with agriculture, manufacturing & wine, Italy with cars, food processing, clothing & textiles, Switzerland with watches, chocolates, cheese, tourism & pharmaceuticals. Most Western countries contribute and offer positive things to the rest of the world, and are thus successful economies, but the aforementioned nations contribute by spreading fear, poverty, and chaos to the rest of the world. The core of the problem is much more complicated due to the involvement of other, sometimes dominating countries getting involved, but that is a subject that would make a much longer, more involving story than I am prepared to write about in this chapter. The core problem is, that there is no foreseeable future for those people.

MY POLITICAL VIEWS

My views arebased on an overall aspect of the world, I have lived and worked in 7 countries during my hospitality career, and it’s not about the USA where I spent 40 years of my life, nor Switzerland where I live now, I love both countries, each for its unique ways and lifestyle. I am looking at the globe from above, like a Birdseye view, what I see is a globe with hotspots everywhere, today there are more than 40 active conflicts around the world.

FAMILY ROUND TABLE DISCUSSIONS

During heated discussions around the family dinner table, the USA always came about during the conversations, the popular opinion in Europe is that the US always involves itself all over the world, occupying other nations! My view and explanation to those opinions and accusations were always and still is that the globe is like a large corporation, any corporation has a CEO that calls the shots, since we all, or let’s say most of us Westerners, consider the USA to be a Democratic sponsoring nation and the most powerful nation on earth, I personally consider them to be the CEO of the world. I prefer a Democratic nation to keep an eye on the globe than a ruthless, provoking, and manipulating nation such as Iran, North Korea, or Russia to call the shots! I take religion as an example, the churches evolved to restrict and control the human race! What would this world be if there wasn’t anything or anyone to believe, follow, and look upon!?

PPEOPLE FORGET

unfortunately, people forget fast about history and the not-so-far past. Whom do most nations call upon when there is a crisis or a conflict? The United States! Who bailed out Europe during the second world war? Who prevented Saddam Hussein from confiscating the oil fields in Kuwait? Who stopped the aggression from the Japanese (Pearl Harbour)? many more to mention.

Hostgator Web Hosting

Don’t get me wrong, I am aware of the fact that sometimes there was self-interest in getting involved, especially in the Middle East to protect the US interest in the oil reserves and supply. Let’s not forget that the majority of the Middle Eastern nations hate America and the Western world for what they believe and stand for. In spite of that, they all want to emigrate to the western civilizations, why? For the same reasons, I mentioned earlier, no future vision for a decent, fruitful life! It’s mind buggering to me how many Western and European nations would offer refuge to millions of people from these poorly managed nations. Placing people in an unknown, new, strange environment, harsh climates, different customs, different religions, and ethnic groups, it’s a large ethnic pot waiting to boil over! Again don’t get me wrong, it’s heartbreaking to witness the suffering, especially the children, and what they have to endure. I would love to adopt some of these kids to get them out of that misery, but I am too old to offer shelter and care to kids. It also makes me upset watching what is happening in some of the wealthiest Middle Eastern nations such as Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Kuwait standing by while they are building ski resorts in the desert, whole islands in the ocean, the tallest buildings in the world, etc. but cannot give refuge for people that are of similar ethnic background, and they certainly have space and money, it would be much more proper than sending them to Norway, Denmark, Holland or Germany!

TRUMP, OH BOY IT’S A HOT TOPIC!

So here we are, now with our beloved and/or hated President Trump most likely to become President again! unless they put him in jail before that!

Well, by now we know what globalization does to the world!? Everyone is in the same pot, and we also know what that does, it’s almost like a family feud! Nobody can agree on anything, misunderstandings, greed, and jealousy kick in. Look at Europe, the refugee influx causes Neo-Nazis to evolve and the Far Right to revolt. The Russians are trying to regain lost territories IE. Crimea and now Ukraine, the Chinese are spreading their tentacles all over the African continent, (watch them ganging up with the Africans!) My point is; that globalization does not work, it causes declining wages and conflict.

I am not sure I understand why anyone could have a problem with this president trying to take care of his own country first. Put aside his demeanor, personality, lack of diplomacy, looks, or whatever your beef, problem, or opinion about him is, and concentrate on what he is trying to carry out for the country, which he certainly loves, he is financially independent, he donates his $450,000 salary to different causes, he is not in this to personally benefit financially, he was a billionaire before he was elected!

Americans sacrificed hundreds of thousands of lives

during the tasks of protecting and preserving Democracy all over the world during the last century. Don’t you think it’s time for European nations to step up to the plate and defend, protect, and preserve democracy for the part of the world closer to them and with most of the conflicts? Trump is the only president making the rich European countries pay their fair share towards the NATO support. The European Schengen agreement with its open borders is causing all kinds of problems, that is why I agree with Trump to close the southern borders and implement a stricter vetting system, the lack or mistake of not doing that could result in another 911 during which over 3200 innocent people died, and was caused through a lack of proper immigration vetting, as I said, people forget too soon!

I much prefer to have someone with less etiquette, class, and diplomacy and makes up for it through his sense of business, stigma, endurance, and love for his country, than some smooth-talking, diplomatic schmoozer, loved all over the world but can’t carry out anything lucrative and beneficial for the country. He is also the only president trying to close and bring home troops; there are US Forces in 74 countries now, fighting wars they shouldn’t be involved in. He is bringing home manufacturing jobs, and he is communicating with some bullies of the world, which no earlier president was willing to do, only through communication can problems be resolved.

Anyway,

As always, I appreciate your comments, remarks, and input, and correct me if I was wrong with some of my views and statements.

Best Regards, your blogging friend
