Breathe in the Moon
One tosses in bed, but sleep doesn’t want to come. A look at the clock reveals that once again nothing will come of the beauty sleep! Most people are familiar with problems falling asleep and staying asleep, but these have increased significantly during the Corona Pandemic and the associated isolation, as various studies show.
A Japanese breathing technique is now supposed to put an end to sleepless nights: Moon Breathing is trendy and is now also known in Europe. The age-old method is also used in yoga and quickly disappears inner restlessness, tension and nervousness.
Instead of counting sheep, it could be worthwhile to breathe consciously when sleep does not want to come. Moon breathing is performed cross-legged.
Now close the right nostril with the right thumb and slowly breathe in through the left nostril. Exhale through the right nostril, with the ring finger of the right hand closing the left nostril. Repeat these steps until you feel noticeably relaxed. Important: You should always inhale through the left nostril, as the left side of the body is closely connected to the parasympathetic nervous system, which reduces stress and lowers the heart rate and blood pressure.
